and tiana's staples
The
owners of the company are uniquely experienced in the retail industry
as well as active members of the Lake Havasu Community.
Gregg
Staples has a lifetime of experience in the retail trade. While
growing up his father was General Manager of an upper scale Men's
store, Dunham's of Maine. Following in his father's footsteps, after
attending college in Colorado and two tours in the US Army, Mr.
Staples became a visual merchandising specialist for a governmental
instrumentality, and then went on to assume the same capacity with
The Bon Marche, a premier department store chain headquartered in
Seattle and now part of the Macy chain. While at The Bon Marche,
Mr. Staples rose through the system as a Department Manager, Assistant
Buyer, Buyer, Divisional Sales Manager, and eventually Buyer in
Men's Clothing.
Mr.
Staples also served as Vice President and General Manager for another
Seattle-based retail chain before moving to the other side of the
table. For the past 10 years, he has been directly involved in overseas
custom manufacturing and importing. Mr. Staples was ExecVP and the
driving force in a Seattle-based China Trading Company, and is currently
serving as President and CEO of IAG Importing, Inc., which is involved
in importing, sourcing and custom manufacture of wearable, consumer
and promotional products.
Tiana
Staples also has extensive retail experience. After graduating from
college in Seattle, Mrs. Staples spent 17 years focusing primarily
on floor management where she singularly excelled at The Bon Marche's
largest and most influential mall location. Moreover, she managed
the largest profit center departments including "The Cube" (Juniors)
and "The Tiger Shop" (Young Men's'). Mrs. Staples garnered numerous
and repeated awards and accolades for her management style and effectiveness
particularly in her long tenure as manager of the chain's largest
volume cosmetics department managing more than 30 ego-driven cosmeticians
and numerous cosmetic lines.
Gregg
& Tiana met, and married, while they both were working at The Bon
Marche.
